    Contract between San Andreas News and Sheriff's Department

    CONTRACT BETWEEN
    San Andreas News and the Sheriff’s Department

    This contract is entered into between San Andreas News, herein referred to as “San Andreas News”, and the San Andreas Sheriff’s Department, herein referred to as “Sheriff’s Department”.

    1. CONDITIONS
    This contract will not take effect, and neither party is obligated to provide services described in this contract, until the Sheriff’s Department returns a signed copy of this contract.

    2. SCOPE AND DUTIES OF SAN ANDREAS NEWS
    San Andreas News shall broadcast a message every hour, using the news broadcasting system, if an employee is available to do so, announcing and advertising that the Sheriff’s Department is recruiting. Announcing and advertising shall happen at least thrice a day.

    3. FAILURE TO PERFORM DUTIES, SAN ANDREAS NEWS
    If San Andreas News fails to broadcast the minimum amount of announcements, they shall pay $1,000,000 to the Sheriff’s Department per missed broadcast. This amount shall be noted down and paid in full, at once, to the Sheriff’s Department on the earliest Sunday or Monday.

    4. SCOPE AND DUTIES OF THE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
    The Sheriff’s Department shall respond to calls from San Andreas News over the department frequency or private lines of direct communication, including but not limited to private radio’s and mobile phones, regardless of extenuating circumstances. The only exceptions are scenario’s where their presence is of an utmost importance, including but not limited to scenes such as “11-99’s” and one in which one of their employees has been taken hostage.

    When arresting one of San Andreas News’ employees, the arresting Deputy of the Sheriff’s Department must send an arrest report, within one hour of processing the employee, to the Chief Executive Officer of San Andreas News, including the details of the arrest, including but not limited to the generic situation, charges against the employee, the issued prison sentence and fine.

    5. FAILURE TO PERFORM DUTIES, SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
    The Sheriff’s Department may only fail to respond to calls from San Andreas News if the authorized personnel of the Sheriff’s Department were occupied in a situation that is considered an exception to the term set in the scope and duties paragraph. They must contact San Andreas News as soon as possible, once the relevant situation is over.

    If the arresting Deputy fails to send an arrest report completely, members of the Executive Board of San Andreas News are authorized to contact the Sheriff of Operations in order to receive the arrest report. It is at the Sheriff of Operation’s discretion should any internal punishment be brought against the Deputy.

    6. EFFECTIVE DATE; DURATION AND RENEWAL; WITHDRAWAL
    This contract will take effect when the Sheriff’s Department has performed the conditions stated in paragraph one for thirty days. It may be renewed five days prior to expiring by signing a new contract. Either party may announce their withdrawal from this contract whenever they want, but the contract will remain in effect until it has expired.

    7. SEVERABILITY; SAN ANDREAN LAW
    The provision of this contract is severable. This means that if one or more provisions of this contract are found to be void or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions of this contract will still apply. This contract is entered into in accordance with the law of the Republic of San Andreas, and San Andrean law will apply to any questions relating to the meaning of any provision of this contract.
